The event was jointly organized by Sabah Environmental Protection Association (SEPA) together with To Earth With Love (TEWL), Love CleanKK and is sponsored by CK Ecosystem Malaysia.
The workshop was officiated by Datuk Dr. Roland Chia Ming Shen (Political Secretary to the YAB Chief Minister of Sabah), also attended by Alexander Yee (SEPA’s President), Deric Chiew (TEWL’s Chairman), Eric Ye (GREEN KK) and Clare (BLU HOPE).
In Alexander’s welcoming remarks, he reminded everyone that the responsibilities of protecting and caring for our fragile environment rests on everyone’s shoulder instead of just a selected few. And he urged everyone to work together towards a cleaner and healthier environment.
According to Datuk Dr. Roland Chia, Kampung Cenderamata 2 is used as a model village, he hopes that in the future the village and other housing estates can follow in the footsteps of Kampung Cenderamata 2 in the use of EMAS which is environmentally friendly and easy to produce domestically.
More than 40 participants consisting of residents of Kampung Cenderamata 2 benefited from this EMAS workshop demonstrated by Deric Chiew & Margaret Chin, using materials that can be easily obtained from home such as rinsed rice water, sugar, salt and with EM1.
We would like to extend our appreciation to Mr. Aswandy as the Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Komuniti & Keselamatan (JPKK) Kampung Cenderamata for his cooperation and commitment. It is hoped that efforts to create a cleaner and chemical free environment can be continued to ensure the future of next generations.
